Walks and hikes

Starting right from our farmstay, spectacular routes, including those in the Puez-Odle Nature Park, just outside San Martino in Badia, are easily accessible on foot. Passo delle Erbe, with its hiking trails and traditional alpine huts, is also a popular destination – as are the Malga Vaciara and the Ciampcios hut above Longiarù, both family-friendly. Recommended paths comprise “Sentiero dei Larici” and the circular walk around the Sass de Putia, which guarantees unforgettable views. For an easygoing excursion, try a riverside walk that leads directly to the charming village centre of San Martino in Badia. Additionally, via ferratas and challenging routes allow experienced mountain hikers to reach the region’s most towering summits.

Movimënt Parks in a high‑altitude setting

The famous Movimënt parks lie at around 2,000 metres (approximately 6,562 feet) above sea level and can be explored via e‑bike, hiking, or mountain lifts. These outdoor fitness parks are equipped with Kneipp trails, exercise stations, kids’ play areas, Nordic walking and jogging routes, as well as mountain bike flow trails. Nestled in a stunning alpine landscape with panoramic views of the Marmolada, they invite both young and old, along with sports enthusiasts, to take part in numerous captivating open-air activities. Adrenaline X-Treme Adventures also promise an intense high-altitude thrill: the starting point is at 1,600 metres (approximately 5,249 feet) above sea level, from where you’ll glide down an impressive zipline to San Vigilio di Marebbe.

Directly at our farmstay, e-bikes are available for rent to access the Val Badia cycling route, which passes right by the holiday farm and continues for many kilometres through picturesque villages and gorgeous mountain scenery. For guests interested in discovering more of the region, convenient public transport connections to Brunico and Bressanone provide ample opportunities to indulge in South Tyrol’s rich cultural and culinary offerings. Also, along the cycling trails, many occasions arise to taste traditional dishes like dumplings, speck, regional cheeses, and homemade desserts at alpine huts and farmstays.
